UPDATE 16NOV18

I finally got around to adding custom lids for Remington Thunderbolt bullets and 4 CCI bullets ( Mini-Mag HP, Mini-Mag HV, Quiet-22 and Standard Velocity)

UPDATE 05MAY17

Okay, I added the SolidWorks files for anyone who wants to edit them. I removed the boxes with the text because I didn't think they looked good. I figure I'll just add text to the lids and then I can swap them out whenever I change the type of bullet in them.

Also, I added a 22WMR Bullet Holder that is designed basically the same, but scaled up a bit where it was needed to accommodate the larger round.

UPDATE

I added the plastic tray that holds 50 bullets. You need two of them to fill the holder. There is a very slight chamfer on the holes, and if you zoom in you can see it. The flared side should go down on the build platform. You will want to take something to remove the burr from both sides of the holes. ~~I used a #2 Phillips screwdriver to remove the burr, and now the bullets drop in just fine.~~ Use a 15/64 drill bit or reamer to clean up the holes, then hit ~~the top side~~ both sides with some 120grit sandpaper to smooth it out a bit from the little retraction points and the burr from drilling/reaming the holes..

I will upload the SolidWorks .SLDPRT files when I get the lettering to print okay.

Original Post

I dislike my 22LR bullets in milk cartons and buckets, so I designed this bullet holder so that it fits the clear plastic trays of bullets from various manufacturers that I have been saving for a while now. The lid fits snug but not tight.

I have NOT printed any of the boxes with writing on them, so I have no idea how they will come out yet.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

Prusa Mk2

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2mm

Infill:

20% Hexagonal

Notes:

I printed two plain so far in PLA with the standard Prusa settings using the Prusa edition Slic3r.

Category: Sport & Outdoors
