220V 2000W Speed Controller SCR Voltage Regulator Case
thingiverse
Whipped up a protective enclosure for a low-cost SCR speed controller I obtained from Trademe. These controllers are hazardous without a casing as the board's sensitive components sit at mains voltage. The lid snaps on and the PCB slides into place after removing the small metal bracket supporting the potentiometer. The design includes plenty of ventilation to keep the heatsink cool. Screw tabs allow for secure mounting in a permanent setup. It's essential to note that these speed controllers are raw, exposed boards with no protection from mains voltage. They can cause serious injury or death if not handled properly. I'm not responsible if you print this case and still manage to insert your finger, screwdriver, or any other conductive object into the enclosure, resulting in harm to yourself.
