220mm wet sanding or polishing disc

Hey, everybody, Here is a big project for me because I'm still not a professional designer, but the result is there, and functional !!!. Please post a "Make" if you do, I'd be happy to. It's a pleasure to share. The only way I have found to sand the PLA parts is to sand them with wet high grit sandpaper (mini 320, max 1000). Every non-wet solution is a problem (simply because when sanding, the temperature of the parts rises and the PLA starts to melt!). Here's a short presentation here: https://youtu.be/lkizroFa8kc The disc diameter is due to the standard size of the sandpaper sheets. I chose a diameter of 220 mm, because I can cut a disc on the sheet, with little waste. Instead of sanding, you can also polish. Simply replace the sandpaper with a piece of cloth and use a water-soluble polishing paste. You can fix the sandpaper or fabric to the disc with repositionable glue like this: https://www.amazon.fr/3M-Montages-Successifs-Repositionnable-Assorties/dp/B01EFPZ34I/ref=sr_1_4?__mk_fr_FR=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&keywords = glue + spray + 3m & qid = 1575968042 & sr = 8-4 You will need some accessories (at low cost): 1 x 12V water pump (which will bring water to the top of the disc), or any other model with a flow rate of approx. 0.5L / min: https://www.amazon.fr/Brushless-Submersible-Cat%C3%A9gorie-Comestible-%C3%A9conomie/dp/B07WSSZ342/ref=pd_rhf_ee_p_img_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRWW=7 OR, if you are addicted to 3D printing ..., you can do this one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3445927 6 x rollers (23 mm diameter) for shower doors (including its sealed ball bearing): https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B072N2K25M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 1 x standard NEMA 23 motor: why a stepper motor? Simply because I have one in stock? Yes and no... The stepper motor can provide good torque at low rpm. And in this case, we do not need a high rotational speed (approx. 500 rpm max). This type of motor is therefore much easier to find than a standard brush motor with gear motor. It can be this one (not the cheapest, but of good quality): https://www.pololu.com/product/1474 1 x Arduino Nano Rev3 (choose at best a real one to support Arduino): https://store.arduino.cc/arduino-nano-every-with-headers 1 x TB6600 stepper motor driver like this one: https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B0711J1K66/ref=pe_3044141_185740131_TE_item 1 x power supply 20 to 24V / 3A: I used an old laptop power supply but you can use this one for example: https://www.ebay.com/c/1258312850 it's a low-cost model. 2 x power switch (one to switch off the pump if necessary, one for general on/off) 1 x fuse holder and a 3A fuse (50x20 mm) 0,5m x Transparent PVC tube 6mm inner diameter: 0,5 m x Transparent PVC tube inner diameter 9mm: https://www.ebay.com/itm/PVC-Plastique-Transparent-Tube-Tuyau-3mm-4mm-5mm-6mm-7mm-8mm-9mm-10mm-11mm-12mm/332568281557?hash=item4d6e9d41d5:m mJ1rSaMn4tKrnCGEriXZ30Q A few wires to connect all electrical appliances Some printed pieces ... of course. Some bolts, nuts and screws (if you want the exact list, ask me). As some parts may differ from my project to yours, I have made this tool as adaptable as possible. If you need, ask me for the Fusion 360 .f3d files to make your own adaptations, I'll provide them, no problem. The parts of the support box can be printed and assembled, but I preferred to do it in wood (3 mm mdf), cut with my cnc router. It was for me more economical. Finally, as I had 4 mm aluminium, I made the disc with this material, but you can print it. If you choose to print all the pieces (no wooden box), please print the background called "Plastic Background" and do not print strip1, strip2, strip3 and strip4, as you do not need them. You can screw the 4 sides of the box on the "Fond Plastique" piece. For the bowl (upper and lower parts), I strongly recommend to "paint" the inside sides with epoxy resin or another paint, to be sure that these parts will be waterproof. When using the machine, pour a maximum of 600 ml of water. If the photos are not enough and you need help with the stitching, ask me.
