This is a hidden wireless charger for the VB WRX that goes under the rubber mat in the cubby to give it an OEM look.I used ABS because it fares better durring the summer months.It is specifically designed with the UUMAO Wireless Charger I bought on Amazonhttps://a.co/d/0ckDP27I cut the positive and negative points, along with the status led and instead used a USB C routed under the transmission tunnel (easier than it sounds) and poked through the side of the center console connected to a LISEN 48W USB C Car Charger Adapter (https://a.co/d/hPPEf65). I wanted it to shut off with the car, and the fuse box to do an "Add-a-circuit" does not have enough room, although you are free to install it anyway youd like , of course.To adhere it to the dash, i used Gorilla Heavy Duty Double Sided Mounting Tape (best double sided tape IMO, i used it on a ton of projects without fail)Then you just Press the rubber mat back in its inserts and work it over the charger to make it look out of the way.I made it low enough profile to use my Galaxy Fold 5 in its folded state. I have it on the right side because im used to placing my wallet on the left and my phone on the right in the cubby.If youre wondering about what adapter I have to run android auto, I used the Motorola MA1 Wireless Android Auto, its small and fits snugly under the usb hub on the cubby mounted with, you guessed it, the Gorilla Double Sided Tape.Hope you like it.
