Neferneferuaten Nefertiti reigns supreme as an Egyptian queen, reigning alongside her husband Akhenaten, a powerful Pharaoh who worshiped one god only: Aten, or the radiant sun disc. Together, they rule at the peak of Ancient Egyptian prosperity, a period that remains one of the wealthiest in history.[4] Some experts believe Nefertiti assumed the throne as Neferneferuaten after Akhenaten's death and before Tutankhamun's accession, although this theory is still debated among scholars.[5][6] If Nefertiti indeed ruled as Pharaoh, her reign was marked by the collapse of Amarna and the relocation of the capital back to Thebes, a traditional Egyptian city.[7] Nefertiti holds numerous titles, including Hereditary Princess (iryt-p`t); Great of Praises (wrt-Hzwt); Lady of Grace (nbt-im3t), Sweet of Love (bnrt-mrwt); Lady of the Two Lands (nbt-t3wy); Main King's Wife, his beloved (Hmt-nswt-‘3t mryt.f); Great King's Wife, his beloved (Hmt-nswt-wrt mryt.f), Lady of all Women (Hnwt-Hmwt-nbwt); and Mistress of Upper and Lower Egypt (Hnwt-Shm’w-mhw).[8] Nefertiti's enduring legacy is cemented by her iconic bust, now proudly displayed in Berlin's Neues Museum. This masterpiece is one of the most replicated works of ancient Egyptian art, attributed to the skilled sculptor Thutmose. It was discovered in his workshop, a testament to his exceptional craftsmanship.
