Neferneferuaten Nefertiti burst onto the scene around 1370 BC and ruled until her death, roughly a century later, leaving behind a legacy as one of Ancient Egypt's most influential queens. As the Great Royal Wife to Pharaoh Akhenaten, she played a pivotal role in introducing monotheistic worship of Aten, or the sun disc, sparking a revolution that shook the foundations of Egyptian society. During her reign alongside her husband, Nefertiti oversaw an era of unprecedented prosperity, often considered the apex of Ancient Egypt's wealth and power. Some historians believe she briefly ascended to the throne as Neferneferuaten following Akhenaten's demise, before the emergence of Tutankhamun, although this notion remains a topic of ongoing debate among scholars. As a royal, Nefertiti boasted an impressive array of titles, including Hereditary Princess, Great of Praises, Lady of Grace, Sweet of Love, and Lady of The Two Lands. Her other notable monikers include Main King's Wife, his beloved, Great King's Wife, his beloved, Lady of all Women, and Mistress of Upper and Lower Egypt. Her iconic bust, now housed in Berlin's Neues Museum, has become one of the most replicated works of ancient Egyptian art. Crafted by the skilled sculptor Thutmose, it was discovered within his workshop, a testament to the artist's skill and craftsmanship.
