210 quadcopter frame antenna mount
thingiverse
Today I managed to snap my 210 quad's antenna twice. The first mishap occurred when I clipped a branch that bent the antenna into the propeller, causing irreparable damage to the antenna tube. Later, while flying, the quad careened into a power line and cleanly severed the antenna from its base. This unfortunate sequence of events prompted me to design an innovative antenna mount that would securely fasten to the top of my quad's frame beneath the top plate, safely clearing the propellers. After 3D printing the design in PLA, I discovered that it required minor adjustments to accommodate wider holes - a trivial tweak when compared to the hassle of reprinting with ABS, which worked flawlessly as is. The print settings called for a resolution of 0.8 mm and no supports were necessary.
