I mount a V-slot extrusion to another surface using it. For my custom Co2 laser engraver, I attach it to the wall this way. It has four mounting holes (3mm diameter) and one 12mm long gap that is 3mm wide allowing you to level the extrusion properly and tighten the screw. A 3mm hole next to the V-slot insert helps fix the 20xXX profile in place. Printed from PETG at a 0.3mm layer thickness, it fits perfectly. You can use support for the holes.
