20x20 extrusion raised extruder mount (Tronxy X5S)
prusaprinters

The original extruder positioning on my Tronxy X5S-2E resulted in quite long bowden tubes, so I wanted to reposition them better. Ended up moving the extruders upwards, partly on top of the bed. Managed to cut ~30cm of the 70+cm tubes (which had a bit of slack so the actual improvement isn't full 30cm). Lower retraction and linear advance FTW (4mm -> 3mm, K1.2 -> K0.5).

As I use 2 extruders that have quite long motors (planetary), I printed other mount mirrored.

Attaches to the 20x20 extrusion with the slot nut (whatever it's called...).

Print Settings

Printer:

Tronxy X5S-2E

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.3+

Infill:

20%

Filament:
Formfutura PLA
Purple

Notes:

Printed with E3D Volcano, 0.8mm nozzle, 0.45mm layers, 2 perimeters.

How I Designed This ===================
Designed in OpenSCAD.
