20mm T-Slot Rostock Mini
thingiverse
I constructed a taller Rostock Mini (550mm rods) but found it lacked stability and vibrated when increasing speed, so I devised modifications to enhance rigidity while adding personalized touches. These alterations are designed for easy integration into the existing Rostock Mini framework. The design was developed in Pro/Engineer; a source file will be shared upon completion. A STEP file is available for use in other parametric CAD software. A BOM is forthcoming, but currently required items include three 554mm 20mm T-slot extrusions, 15 M5 T-slot nuts, six 550mm 8mm precision rails, six 8mm LMU8 bearings, three 550 tooth 0.19" wide closed loop MXL belts, three 40 tooth MXL pulleys, three 40 tooth MXL idlers, three adjustable rubber feet, a 120mm case fan for RAMPS board cooling, and a 40mm fan for hot end and print cooling. Update 1: Corrected STL file orientation. Update 2: Replaced platform, added fan mount, and belt clamp.
