I am constructing a lens holder to securely attach a 20mm ZnSe lens to an Hti HT-18 thermal imaging camera. The lens I am using is a ZnSe CVD positive meniscus lens with a 2-inch focal length, allowing the thermal camera to focus on a specific area approximately 1 inch in diameter, as demonstrated in the example image of a 1-inch safety pin taken from directly above. This configuration enables the camera to capture detailed images of objects within a focused area. The lens holder's friction mounts ensure that it remains securely attached to the camera. For added stability and peace of mind, elastic bands are also used to hold the lens in place.
