20mm Extrusion cable chain - Small bend radius - Minimal twist
thingiverse
I wanted a custom-designed cable chain for my C-Bot clone that perfectly matched the popular "igus" style. The others just didn't cut it, with their joints hidden internally instead of externally on display. I'm all about showing off the inner workings! With walls approximately 2mm thick (give or take some tolerance for good measure), I wanted plenty of access to the cable for rearranging or feeding new cables through the chain. A small guide around the circular insert makes it a breeze to cut a groove into the mating plastic link, while also preventing twisting due to tight wall tolerances. The lipped circular insert on each link is designed to make installation a cinch. But don't worry about bending - this cable chain can handle up to 60 degrees of bend per link! Plus, with a minimum chain bend radius of 15.3mm on the external face and 5.3mm on the internal face, you know it's built to last. The internal cavity measures an impressive 12mm wide by 7mm high - perfect for housing cables without getting in the way. And when it comes time to connect the ends, they fit bolts commonly used with 20x20 extrusion (M5) for a seamless finish.
