2040 Extrusion Drill Guide
thingiverse
This drilling guide will help drill 2040 extrusions across, utilizing 3 625 bearings per hole, and a 5mm drill bit. To secure screws into the aluminum extrusion after drilling the holes, use a hardened M5 steel hex screw long enough to pass through the holes completely. Add one or two wide M5 washers and an M5 nut. Insert the screw into the hole without any washers and on the other side use the washers followed by the nut. Begin tightening the nut until the screw head pierces the extrusion, resulting in a flushed screw. Please consider supporting this project with a pizza or a spool of filament.
