I aimed to extend the usable length of a linear rail attached to a 2040 V-slot extrusion as my Z-axis to its maximum potential. To achieve this, I realized that a max-Z endstop was necessary, just in case something went wrong. This led me to design a device that would allow me to easily utilize the Makerbot end-stops, which were readily available and adaptable for my needs.
