This was a design project completed, under the tutelage of Mr. Wallace Preston, during my time at Academy of Art University. I initially designed and developed it in clay, then subsequently digitized and modeled it in Alias. It was the first project during my time at school to which I felt such a personal connection. I hope you enjoy reviewing it as much as I enjoyed creating it. The motivation of the project was to create a large luxury sedan, whose design focused on attracting- and identifying with successful young Americans of the precocious generations Y- and- Z. With the U.S. economy rebounding and the promise of our generations fulfilled, and with Alfa Romeo firmly establishing itself as a viable luxury alternative in America, one with a distinct flair, it was the right time for Alfa Romeo to design its first luxury sedan to take on the likes of the established European leaders. A flagship not just for Alfa Romeo, but a flagship for those that represent a very bright present and future. Youth shall be served. Inspired by a tall, beautiful lady in an elegant, flowing evening gown, it was designed with the intent of burning an indelible impression in those that bear witness to its presence.
