2020 Spool Mount Arms
thingiverse
I required a solution to attach multiple spools to the top of my M3D Crane Quad swiftly, knowing that in the future, I will reattach them when the printer relocates. These arms are engineered to hold a rod/dowel at an angle behind the top bar, ensuring that filament feeds directly down the hotend for direct drive setups or into the extruders when fed from behind for bowden configurations. To date, I have not observed any Z wobble issues, as I primarily use this printer for short, specific prints. Printing tall objects would be best achieved with a reinforced Z-axis or by mounting the spools in an alternative location.
