My Z axis movement was designed to enclose the frame on top of my i3 clone without interfering with the x carriage movement. I carefully selected parts from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:920183 and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1306326 to assemble the mechanism. The filament guide utilizes #8-32 sae screws and nuts that I happen to have on hand, but M4 screws can also be used with slightly smaller nuts fitting into the holes. Printer: Cookie Bot Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20%-60% Notes: I prefer printing with at least 1.2mm walls and top/bottom layers.
