2020 Slot Mount SCAD module
thingiverse
SCAD module for shaping parts that fit snugly into 2020 rails, securing them without twisting or stress on the M4 screw head. This module creates mounts that can slide smoothly into the rail's slot and provides space for T-slot nuts and their M4 screws. Designing this SCAD module allowed me to improve part mounting security while keeping things simple by using a single T-slot nut. The additional benefit is reduced load around the M4 screw head, making the overall assembly more robust. Please note that the tall box in the illustration is not required for code implementation; it merely shows how the mounts look when attached to a part. If you're new to SCAD or haven't used modules before, know that they can save significant time by eliminating repetitive coding. Here's how to use this module: 1. Copy and paste the file into your project. 2. Alternatively, place the file in the same folder as your project and include it at the top of your code with "include". Once you've incorporated the module, simply type either: - `2020SlotMount(SlotMountLength=20);` or - `2020SlotMountTnutHole(ScrewLengthInPart=6,SlotMountLength=20);` Refer to the notes in the SCAD file for explanations of the parameters and their effects. **Print Settings:** - Rafts: Not Necessary - Supports: Required - Resolution: 0.2mm **Important Note:** If possible, print the part with the 2020 slot section vertical to ensure proper support. Using a T-slot nut between two sections may require additional supports.
With this file you will be able to print 2020 Slot Mount SCAD module with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on 2020 Slot Mount SCAD module.
