2020 sitting spool mount
thingiverse
This project has reached completion and is now operational on my personal printer without any need for further refinement. This enhanced version supersedes my initial spool holder design, replacing the four-wheeled configuration with an optional reverse Bowden guide feature. Utilize an 8-32 threaded rod as a shaft. Install the spool axle (remove the skirt I added to the STL file) over the threaded rod and then insert the assembly into the wheel. Mount 13mmx5mmx4mm bearings on each side (https://www.ebay.com/itm/10pcs-624zz-Steel-Sealed-Shielded-Deep-Groove-Ball-Bearing-4x13x5-Roller-Bearing/162442914585?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649). Repeat for the second axle. Install the two axles into the arms and then secure them to the base with m3x.5 10mm bolts. If you incorporate the guide, you'll require m5x.8 20mm bolts. If you do not use the guide, opt for 15mm bolts instead. It attaches to 2020 extrusion using T-slot nuts. For the FT-6 model, there is a Bowden tube guide incorporated into my designs.
