2020 Happy New Year Fun Glasses with Heli version too

2020 Happy New Year Fun Glasses
These are the 2020 evolution from my 2016 New Year's Glasses which were featured in several online 3D printing magazines and websites. They use the same rugged arms with hinges that make them easy on the nose and ears alike. I've also included two versions of the arms, standard length for most people and longer ones to fit different needs. This year, I added a fun twist by including a helicopter design that I created with friends, just in case you want to print it too! If you're looking to add some color to the numbers, try printing the glasses in white material first. This will give you a good base for painting them in your favorite colors. I printed the arms with black PLA at 220 degrees and a bed temperature of 45 degrees. The glasses themselves were printed with white PETG at 345 degrees and a bed temperature of 100 degrees. Make sure to use 10% infill and don't worry about supports, as they're already included in the STL file. Before assembling the glasses, be sure to remove any excess material from the supports. Then, secure the arms in place using CA or gorilla glue. I've included some pictures of past makes so you can see how they look in different materials. Get ready to ring in the new year with a fun pair of glasses that's sure to turn heads!
