2020 Extrusion Top Mounted Spool Holder

I designed a top-mounted spool holder with a built-in filament guide, specifically made for use with my CR10 3D printer and a Bondtech BMG clone on 2020 aluminum extrusion. You can see in the photo that I've included both a 25mm and 35mm shaft option - choose the one that gives you the clearance you need. The shaft features an integrated M8 thread, as well as a knob that's also threaded to make it easy to use. For me, this setup worked perfectly without obstructing the bed, even at a layer height of just 0.2mm. To assemble the spool holder, you'll need a few more parts: a 135mm or longer M8 threaded rod and some PTFE tube for the filament guide. I secured the spool holder to my printer's frame using four M5x12 socket head cap screws and sliding nuts - and you'll also need two extra of each for the filament guide.
