2020 extrusion overlapping corner bracket
thingiverse
I needed a sturdy bracket that would securely fasten one piece of 2020 aluminum extrusion to another along its side.\nIf my description isn't clear, just take a look at the pictures.\nThis design assumes that the end of the overlapping piece will align flush with the side of the other piece, and that the hole in the center of that extrusion is threaded for an M5 screw.\nI created this bracket because I had a length of 2020 extrusion that I wanted to extend off the side of my D-bot to mount my extruders on, and I required it to be strong and rigid.\nThe photos show instances of these corner brackets printed out in carbon fiber/PETG. This isn't necessary, but I wanted to try it out - and the results are impressive.
