I'll be using these as a y-axis brace on the Ender 5, likely due to their versatility in various applications. The extension adds 15cm down the aluminum extrusion, although this may not reach its maximum potential with the Ender 5, it's sufficient. Two versions exist: one with and one without wrench holes. Typically, a short hex wrench can directly access bolts, eliminating the need to reach through bars. Holes for three t-nut bolts are present, but it's plausible that only the end pair on each surface are usable. Bolt holes have a 4.2mm nominal diameter and may not print perfectly on their side due to slight variations. Washer holes measure 9mm in diameter. I plan to use 12mm bolts to secure T-nuts, which is why the bases are 6.5mm thick. Alternatively, 10mm bolts might work, but after the washer, thread engagement would be minimal. As usual, I discovered a design that sparked my interest and subsequently led me to make modifications. Although it may not be an exact remix, fpvpete's design served as both inspiration and starting point for this creation.
