2020 CNC 10mm Linear

Having crafted a Completely Printed CNC, which is an excellent design and machine, I am completely enthralled. As I consistently have time between software compilation and testing, I am designing my own CNC from the ground up with a first rough sketch in Tinkercad depicted below. Inspired by MP_CNC but created entirely anew in Tinkercad. The plan is to switch effortlessly between CNC, 3D Printing, and Laser Cutting/Engraving heads. A goal is to construct a robust machine featuring doubled-up linear supports (Simple to modify for enhanced strength and rigidity for larger builds) Utilizing 10mm Linear shafts/bearings to ensure precision and adding additional support bearings running on top of 2020 or similar to prevent sagging and promote accuracy. My aim is to design and build the machine from the inside out, one axis at a time: Z then Y then X. Cost-wise, it will be slightly more expensive to construct than Completely Printed CNC to build but although component-wise nearly identical, it should not be excessive if you discover excellent suppliers of 2020 extrusion etc with no reason why 2020 could not be replaced with 20x20 steel box section or even 20x20 Hardwood if these are readily available to you with the sole change being fixings as I shall use primarily T-Nuts. I have already spaced 2020 as a T Slot base for my MP_CNC, so this one will have some differences. My Conclusion Haveng printed parts in Nylon, ABS,PLA and PETg id that the weakness of even solid printed parts is going to be a problem with the rigidity needed from a CNC router. I will complete this project as a laser cutter, plotter 3d printer but for anyone looking for a CNC I suggest the next build that I shall be running alongside this one will be far superior for routing milling and just as easy if not easier to build with basic tools.
