2020 Aluminum Rail Wire mount
thingiverse
This is a wire mount for a 2020 aluminum rail. It's engineered to be secured by an M4 x 10 mm bolt, which I threaded into place after heating it up first. A 1/16th cable wire was looped through the hole to provide additional support for my FLSUN Delta printer's frame. To ease the installation process, I placed the M4 bolt under a flame for a few seconds before screwing it in. The design's hole is quite narrow, but that's exactly what I aimed for. This tight fit makes the mount more secure and less prone to movement. The STL file included with this part is oriented as per my installation setup, however, when I printed it out, I rotated the part like a D to maximize its structural integrity. By doing so, I ensured that the printer's layers were stacked vertically, which strengthens the entire piece. Print Settings: * Printer: FLSUN Delta * Rafts: No * Supports: Yes * Resolution: 0.2 * Infill: 100% * Notes: To achieve maximum strength, rotate the STL file to resemble a D before printing it out. Post-Printing: Heating up M4 nuts proved to be an effective solution for this tight fit issue.
