2020 Aluminum Extrusion Frame Inner Corner
thingiverse
This part is designed for an inner corner bracket in the 2020 Al extrusion. It's meant to complement the 2020 Frame Corner found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1612368. These two parts make it possible to build a very sturdy printer frame using only printed PLA components and metric screws. General Specifications: Print with 40% infill for maximum strength, PLA material is acceptable. Use a layer height of 0.2mm for accurate screw hole and countersink placement. M4 Metric Screws require a 2mm Countersink. The part features channel slots for a tight and square fit. Each aluminum piece is secured by three screws in a triangular pattern for maximum rigidity. UPDATE: New parts are available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4117326 Print Settings: Printer: Maker Architect (Replicator 1 Clone with Heatbed) Rafts: Yes Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 40% Notes: This part must be printed in a horizontal orientation, rotate it 45 degrees on two axes to ensure it lies flat. Print this part with a brim; although it says raft, I haven't tried that method yet, but printing with a brim has worked successfully for me.
