cults3d
A robust corner piece for constructing frames from 2020 Aluminum extrusion is provided. Three pieces joined together by the part are secured with three screws each in a triangular pattern. The part fits snugly into the extrusion's slot for a secure fit. Screw holes accommodate M4 screws with hex socket head caps, featuring a 2mm counter sink on each hole. One screw hole accommodates an M6, requiring the end of the extrusion to be tapped. General specifications include: - Printing at 40% strength for optimal results, PLA is suitable - Layer height set at 0.2mm for accurate screw hole and countersink precision - M4 Metric Screws with a 2mm Countersink are recommended - Channel slots ensure a tight and square fit - An M6 Metric screw is required for the extrusion end's tapped hole - Each Aluminum piece is secured by three screws in a triangular pattern for maximum rigidity UPDATE 1: Two additional models have been added: one features the same part without the tapped hole, while the other includes a cube in the corner and lacks the tapped hole. These models are nearly identical to the original, created by duplicating parts and adjusting parameters using parametric modeling. UPDATE 1/23/2020: This part is now obsolete! A newly updated version of these parts, plus new ones, can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4117326. Check it out, print it, and share your thoughts!
