Update 11/2/20: Removing interfering pins using a plier or file allows corner brackets to work properly even when placing extrusions sideways, as pointed out by @8Atena in comments. My 2040 corner brackets don't function correctly when I place an extrusion at an angle because the pins that should enter the slot have no place to engage and therefore don't sit properly, scratching the aluminum. A quicker fix is using a properly designed corner bracket for this purpose, but 2 minutes and a few tests in Fusion 360 are also effective. These adapters may only fit certain corner brackets and extrusions as they are tight in my setup. The measurements are as follows: Single corner bracket adapter: Dimensions: 18 x 18 x 2.6 mm Pins width: 5 mm Pins height: 1.8 mm Slot width: 5 mm Slot depth: 1.7 mm Dual slot corner bracket adapter: Two single slot brackets with a 2 mm separation. Be aware that longer screws may be needed to use this, as it separates the parts more than the pins alone. I might try to learn how to program Openscad and make the design parametric in the future. This is just a quick fix to keep working on my Anet AM8 chassis. Note: The pictures are from an early prototype, and published parts are slightly thinner.
