We're showcasing my solo creative project from last summer, a team endeavor that's unlikely to see the light of day anytime soon. If we do decide to tackle this design, chances are we'll opt for a COTS module instead. This custom build was envisioned as a nearly entirely 3D printed assembly, with plates, shafts, and fasteners being the sole exceptions. I set another self-imposed constraint: keeping the entire module below 7 inches in height, akin to typical FRC bumper dimensions. The gears are designed for 8DP performance, allowing them to accommodate fiber infill from a MarkForged printer for added structural integrity. To be honest, I've long forgotten the exact reduction ratio and top speed – this was more about mastering packaging techniques than achieving specific results.
