2019 Christmas Ornament (Tree with Swivel Axis)

Here's my new Christmas Ornament design for 2019, and it's a real showstopper! Every year, I create a unique ornament that lets me personalize it with each family member's name - check out my previous posts if you want to see some past examples. This time around, I came up with a two-part print in place tree ornament featuring an integrated swivel axis at its core. When you pop the design off the bed, the center of the tree can spin freely within the outer tree profile. To achieve this, I printed the center of the tree without any top or bottom layers and used a honeycomb infill. This creates a stunning effect where the names cut out as a stencil pattern seem to be floating in mid-air. I designed this ornament using SolidWorks and have included the raw file for anyone who wants to take a closer look. Additionally, I've provided an STL file without the name cutout - feel free to use Tinkercad or similar tools to add your own personalized touch. For those not using SolidWorks, I've also included Fusion360 and X_T files so you can modify, share, and customize this design to your heart's content.
