I redesigned the backup camera roof completely. In the 2018 Subaru Outback test vehicle, I expanded the "awning" to reduce visual blocking of the camera and tunnel vision effects. The roof now protrudes slightly more, but it should still be effective. I created this design using Tinkercad. You can edit it online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/2OInCUoGIeF.
