"Descendimiento," masterfully carved in marble by Chilean sculptor Virginio Arias Cruz in 1887, showcases the poignant moment when Christ's body is lowered from the cross. Two devoted individuals tenderly assist him as Mary, his mother, stands watchful behind them. Meanwhile, Mary Magdalene clings to their feet with fervent devotion. This powerful sculpture resides within the National Museum of Fine Arts in Santiago de Chile. Captivating images of this artwork were captured using a Samsung Note 5 and refined through Agisoft Photoscan. Future endeavors promise even sharper renderings.
