I took reference photos to capture accurate measurements and proportions for my project. The end result was a photo that underwent extensive sanding before being coated with Rustoleum. To create realistic fake welds, I applied Milliput and then painted it silver using a small brush and model paint. Alignment tabs were attached to match the interior dome structure that I had previously built.
