This project is purely recreational and not intended to achieve cinematic precision. Its purpose is to be mounted inside a dome structure, specifically on the speaker that's part of the dome's interior design. A metal cover was created to encase an Adafruit Neopixel component. To add visual interest, two layers of lenticular material were applied, with each layer at a 90-degree angle to the other. This unique approach yields intriguing textures. For reference, see this video: https://youtu.be/_RfGiKQPgAs To secure the metal lens holder, I utilized a "44mm Lens+Reflector Collimator+Fixed bracket For 20W 30W 50W 100W LED B81" unit. Available on eBay for a few dollars, this component met my needs. Initially, I used the large spherical lens with LEDs, but they didn't impress me. That's when I opted for the lenticulars. The top two parts were printed using glow-in-the-dark filament. Unfortunately, I encountered difficulties during printing, particularly when attempting to print fine details without breaking the fragile pieces. The detaching process from the platen was also a challenge. For the interior, I employed tubing of the right length and wrapped transformer filament around it. This component was then placed inside the structure before gluing the two parts together. While the glow-in-the-dark effect is enjoyable, its visibility is limited to very dark environments and only when the LED lights are turned off.
