I've been honing my skills in photogrammetric scanning through self-training with Photoscan. My goal is to test how this software handles a large number of photos and quantify the time it takes to generate a 3D model with average quality. I'm also looking to acquire the necessary skills to scan objects with lesser details and more defined shapes, which will be beneficial for future projects. Given my limited time, I've focused on scanning places and objects near my home. I chose this amphitheater as a subject because it's an urban landscape with graffiti, decay, and beauty, showcasing what was once a vibrant space for family activities, theater performances, and concerts. Although the architecture may not be impressive, and the maintenance is lacking, I believe it has historical significance. Every Sunday afternoon, young people gather here to share stories and tales, allowing anyone to participate or speak up. A proposal to remodel this site was presented in 2013, but so far, nothing has been done. After processing 826 photos with Agisoft PhotoScan, I'm eager to see the results of my experiment.
