2015+ wrx Stock Tweeter Adapter plates for Dayton Audio ND28F-6 Tweeters

I designed this custom tweeter adapter plate to replace the subpar factory tweeters found in the 2015+ Subaru WRX with the base sound system. It's specifically engineered to accommodate Dayton Audio ND28F-6 tweeters, which can be easily sourced from Parts Express. To install these upgraded speakers, simply detach the plug assembly from the bottom of the stock tweeters and solder the wires directly onto the new drivers. Note that the white wire serves as the positive terminal, while the black wire is the negative terminal. I constructed this adapter plate to be notably thicker than necessary, ensuring minimal sagging or deformation due to heat exposure. However, if you opt for a high-temperature-resistant plastic alternative to PLA, you may be able to reduce the plate's thickness significantly. Be aware that with the current design, you'll need to trim away some of the webbing on the back side of the factory speaker grills to provide sufficient clearance for the tweeters.
