2015 Cannondale SuperMax 2.0 Lefty, Cateye Strada Slim Sensor Mount
thingiverse
I am proud to show off my latest creation, which makes it possible to install a Cateye Strada Slim Sensor on a 2015 Cannondale 27.5 Trigger Carbon 2 SuperMax Lefty. My solution, dubbed "Thingie," was specifically designed for the protective guard that came with the bike. The Guard Mount and Sensor Arm work together seamlessly, providing adjustability between the sensor and spoke magnet. I put in a lot of time to perfect the design through several prototypes. If you have a Cannondale bike, be aware that the guard cover on your model may vary from mine in both shape and placement of the cable tie-down. It's something to consider before starting your project. To mount my solution, start by making a single 0.150 diameter hole in the factory guard. There's already a recessed hole on the Guard Mount to guide your drill. When you're done drilling, flip the Guard Mount over and counter sink the hole for a flush fit with a flat head screw. Install a hex nut in the counter sunk hex hole. Next, attach the sensor to the Sensor Arm using a zip tie wrap. Finally, put it all together by screwing the Sensor Arm onto the Guard Mount with a single 1/2" flat head screw. What I love about my design is that you can make fine adjustments to the sensor mount after everything's in place. That means less fuss when it's time to reinstall the factory guard and more room for error before tightening everything up.
