2015-2020 Toyota Sienna Phone Holder Adapter

I was looking for a phone holder that would fit my 2016 Sienna perfectly, but I didn't want to spend hours modeling one from scratch. So, I decided to combine two existing things and create an adapter to connect them together. The mount this design is intended for should fit post-refresh XL30 Siennas (2015 and newer). Although I've only tested it in my 2016 Sienna, if your dashboard looks like the one in this picture, you should be able to use it: https://cars.usnews.com/static/images/Auto/izmo/i960927/2016_toyota_sienna_dashboard.jpg My phone holder works fine with my Kyocera Duraforce Pro 2 (which is a pretty thick phone), but I did have to scale it up a bit. If you have a thinner phone, like an iPhone with a thin case, print everything at 1x scale. This holder slots into the right driver's side vent and limits its range of motion slightly. However, this hasn't been a problem for me. The adapter might need some scaling and post-print finishing to fit perfectly. To get it just right, I recommend printing the part at 1x scale with low infill (10-20%) so you don't waste too much plastic. See how it fits and adjust your print settings accordingly, then reprint it at 50-100% infill until it's perfect. If the cylindrical end doesn't fit in the dashboard bracket, use some coarse sandpaper to make it a little thinner. Here are the parts you'll need: 1. Dash_mount_without_screw_hole.stl 2. Gripping_Smartphone_Holder.stl (or the individual body and slide files) 2. socket.stl 3. Threaded_Nut.stl (you can find these on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1778271) You'll also need an adapter, a command strip (I used black velcro ones), and a rubber band that's slightly larger than a golf ball in diameter. Feel free to experiment with different sizes of rubber bands.
