Previously, on May 4, the 12mm probe mount was altered to lower it by 20mm while retaining the same offset distance. The creator of this modification encourages users who need the 18mm probe version to let them know; otherwise, they will update it when possible. A new file for the adjusted 12mm probe mount is named "Stock_plate_probe_mount_12mm_RevA.STL". On May 3, an update was posted that disclosed a need to modify fittings to allow the probe to sit closer to the bed due to some probes lacking adequate thread for full descent. This add-on is designed for a 2014 Printrbot Simple stock aluminum extruder plate and includes both 12mm and 18mm opening options for mounting induction probe sensor with auto bed leveling feature. An update on April 26 added two new integrated probe mounts for a cleaner appearance and to avoid searching for longer screws. The files are named "Stock_plate_integrated_probe_12mm.stl" and "Stock_plate_integrated_probe_18mm.stl". On the same day, version 2 was released which moved the probe mount 30mm x 30mm away from the hotend while adding a fan mount facing the extruder setup. This variation is helpful if the extruder motor overheats or skips during printing. The files for this version are named "Stock_plate_integrated_extruder_fan_and_probe_12mm.stl" and "Stock_plate_integrated_extruder_fan_and_probe_18mm.stl". Instructions include three options: Option 1 requires printing the part to mount the induction probe, using two M3 screws that are 6mm longer than the existing ones with a probe offset of 0mm for Y and 30mm for X. Option 2 suggests printing an integrated extruder plate with probe mount for a cleaner look without needing longer screws, keeping the same probe offset as Option 1. Lastly, Option 3 introduces a variation that moves the probe 30mm x 30mm away from the hotend and adds a 40mm fan mount facing the aluminum extruder setup for improved cooling if the motor overheats or skips during printing.
