Human: A Custom Design Based on sblach's 3DR Quadcopter Moon Shoes to Produce Soft Landing Foot Mounts Suitable for the 2014 3DR DIY Quad Kit. In theory, these feet should also fit other 3DR multirotors that use the same pattern, like the X8 and Y6, but this design has not been tested on those models yet. Instructions To upgrade your 3DR quad kit's legs, simply add 4 units to the mounting hole height due to the increased spacing between the holes at the base of the legs. First, cut pool noodle foam into strips using a sharp kitchen knife and a miter box. Then apply hobby-grade cyanoacrylate glue to secure it in place around the feet. Remove the bottom spacers and screws from each leg to accommodate the new landing foot design. Use a 1/8" drill bit to ream out the mounting holes, and attach the feet with M3x0.5x25 screws long enough to add a jam nut if needed.
