2008 Dodge Grand Caravan Steering Wheel Logo Plate

This is a remix of a great design for a Grill emblem by JustinSpanier. The basic components were shrunk and flattened to create the plate, with pins added to the rear. Modifications were made using Tinkercad and MeshMixer. The piece simply pushes into place, and the pins apply just enough pressure to hold it in place or a small amount of tacky glue or tape could be used. I hope someone finds this useful. Print Only the File You Need Each One Is a Different Option. Files Included: ---Dodge Full Logo Plate. Add printing supports to this plate. ---Dodge Rams Head Logo only. Add printing supports to this plate. ---A blank plate for those who wish to customize it rather than use the Dodge name and logo. Add printing supports to this plate. ---Copies of all 3 plates with printing supports for those who just want to download and print. The support trees were created in Meshmixer and are easily removable, but as I stated the pins for the plate are a weak point and easily break off and have to be glued back on. ---Copies of all 3 plates with the Pins as a separate part. This eliminates the need for supports and also corrects the pin attachment weakness issue caused by printing the pins in place. ---Pins for the Plates. Print 3 pins for each plate you're printing. Considerations: ---I consider this a work in progress. ---The pin attachments are weak if printed as a single solid unit in the current printing position. They break off easily while removing the support material, even when printed at 100% infill. They can easily be glued back into place. Printing the pins horizontally as a separate piece or using small dowels in place of printed pieces is an option. ---The detail is so small on the lettering for the word DODGE that the G and E don't print well with a .4 nozzle. This could be resolved by using a .2 or .3 nozzle, but I don't have them yet to test it out. Last Updated May 16, 2018 Please Leave Any Thoughts, Comments, or Ideas Below.
