2008 Apple XServe 2.5" Hot Swap Drive Bay Adapter
thingiverse
To standardize a failed 3.5" SAS drive on an XServe, I designed an adapter using Inventor Fusion. After six revisions, revision 5 was finalized with reduced material usage. The 2.5" drive it accommodates has a height of 9/16". Print the adapter with optimal settings (I used 20mm), ensuring the top side is down without supports. Adjust the two lips for specific drives and use 1/8" holes to fit screws from an HP 2.5" SAS drive assembly. Be prepared for edge curling, as my MakerBot 2X Experimental Printer (now called Temperamental) can be tricky.
