2007 Specialized FSR Elite Rear Shock Guard
thingiverse
This is a custom guard designed to minimize dirt and dust impact on the rear shock of a 2007 Specialized FSR Elite, thereby preventing unnecessary damage from sticking debris. The inspiration for this project came from front fork guards seen on motocross bikes. Installation requires unbolting the shock from its linkage, after which it simply slides into place and is secured by the linkage itself. This guard fits precisely due to its reliance on the unique shape of the shock and the spacers used in the rear suspension linkage. If you own a similar bike model that was produced with this specific configuration for only 2-3 years, this custom fit might be suitable for your needs. Update: Following installation, I took my bike out for a test ride and found the guard to work exceptionally well. A photo is included for reference. Printer Settings: Brand: SeeMeCNC Model: Rostock MAX v2 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Layer Resolution: .2mm with a .4 nozzle Infill Density: 20% hexagonal This custom guard was printed using Atomic Filament's Carbon Fiber Ultra Black ABS. The printer settings included a 90° bed and 240° hotend temperature.
