Launched in 2007, this innovative system aimed to monitor hospital patients while ensuring their freedom and entertainment. It pre-dated smartphones and apps, so it incorporated RFID, touch screen technology, and biometric tracking. Patient information could be easily accessed and tracked, with a self-powered system using barcoded wristbands for power outages - a feature still missing in many hospitals today. The base station featured a built-in cleaning (sterilizing) and charging docking operation.
