This 3D model originated with SketchUp 8 before being converted to various other 3D formats. The native file format is .skp, and the corresponding 3Ds Max scene is compatible with 2016 version, rendered using V-Ray 3.00 The Cobalt VI-10 embodied a vision of the future that was boldly unconventional, featuring an eccentric design paired with a lavish engine setup that set it apart from other cars on the road. Powered by a purpose-built 3.5L V6 engine, this car could accelerate in just 6 seconds and reach speeds of up to 155mph or 163mph with no speed limit imposed. Advanced parking sensors were integrated into both the front and rear bumpers, accompanied by essential features typically found in most vehicles. Behind its unusual design lies a unique concept that began as an attempt to create a convertible utility vehicle rivaling the HSV Maloo, only for one of their co-designers to suggest they go further, even more peculiar. And so, the engine was relocated to the rear end of the vehicle, a decision that unfortunately resulted in a forgotten feature: the flying buttresses. Initial production was marred by low sales, averaging less than 3 units per month, resulting in significant losses for Cobalt with each vehicle built, forcing a temporary production halt after only 5 months into manufacturing. However, Cobalt's team successfully developed alternative versions of the VI-10, boosting production efficiency to an impressive 80% after 5 months. Initially priced at RM250,600 in Malaysia, GBP46,200 in the UK, USD68,685 in the US, and EUR62,920 across most European countries, this car undoubtedly left a lasting impression on those who had the opportunity to see it. I regretfully uploaded this model in its SketchUp 8 guise due to a recent unfortunate incident where my original laptop's screen shattered, leaving me stuck with a Dell. Please feel free to like this model.
