2006 Chevrolet Cobalt Automatic Shifter Button
thingiverse
Here's a replacement print for a 2006 Chevrolet automatic transmission button. The lower tab snapped off my original button, so I had to create a new one. I printed it in ABS and gave it a shiny finish by smoothing it with Acetone. Print Settings Printer: Monoprice Maker Select Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 100% Notes: Material: Black ABS Nozzle Temperature: 245°C Bed Temperature: 100°C Bed: Glass + Hairspray After Printing Acetone Smoothing I used a tall large Ikea Pruta Food Container (http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/60149673/) (or any similar sized Polypropylene container). I draped four paper towels down each side of the container, touching the bottom to soak up the liquid. I soaked 80mL Acetone in paper towels (pure 100% acetone nail polish remover from my local store). I hung the part with packing twine, making sure it didn't touch the sides. Vapour exposure time: 45min. *Note: Acetone vapour is highly flammable, so I did this outside. Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS): http://www.sciencelab.com/msds.php?msdsId=9927062
