2004 Mitsubishi Lancer 1-DIN Stereo Sleeve Bracket

This is a printable bracket for installing a 1-DIN head unit that uses a retaining sleeve in a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer (Sportback). If your head unit doesn't have standard DIN mounting holes and comes with a sleeve, you'll need this to install it properly. I started working on installing a new car stereo (1-DIN) unit into my 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback. The new stereo came with a metal sleeve for mounting the unit, which didn't work well with the OEM mounting system. My Lancer had a DIN-1 opening in the dash but no 'cage' to mount the unit into. The manufacturer's mounting tabs wouldn't fit with the sleeve that came with my head unit (it was cheap). I measured up my calipers to the OEM mounting brackets and created a partial 1-DIN cage that would fit nicely into the dash and hold the sleeve from my stereo. This helped me out, and I hope it can help someone else too.
