My 2002 was left sitting outside when someone tried to swipe it. Apparently, thieves often target vehicles from this era of Dodge models. Luckily for me, they couldn't get the engine started, but now I've got a car that needs a screwdriver to fire up. The ignition switch assembly on my 2002 turned out to be pretty pricey and tricky to find. In the end, I decided to rebuild the mechanism myself using some JB weld, but the small catch that holds the ignition switch in place had gone missing. Since I couldn't locate an original replacement part, I ended up crafting a simple plastic replica instead.
