The SSAC-12 is a flexible surface science analysis chamber, suitable for numerous studies and experiments. Standardization allows MDC to offer this chamber at an affordable price. It contains 18 access ports, including three large, two medium, three small, and nine mini ports with metal seals. The SSAC-12 features a wire seal flange on the pump port, while the SSAC-12D includes a Del-Seal™ CF flange. These ports accommodate various devices, instruments, viewports, feedthroughs, and accessories. All 2-3/4" flanges connect with oversized tubing for larger devices. Ports are precisely aligned using a laser during construction, oriented towards specific reference points A, B, or C, or a vertical centerline. The chamber is made of stainless steel, with TIG fusion welds and ultrahigh vacuum-standard electropolished surfaces. Colored flanges on unique ports indicate their focal point, while dimensions for multi-focal ports are provided. Visit MDC's website for further details.
