These images and files represent about 95% of the variants of the US Navy WW II 20 mm Anti-Aircraft guns, as used on just about every vessel larger than a rubber boat, landing craft, for example.The first 4 pics are for the mount Mk 10 mod 0, the next 4 the mount Mk 10 mod 1 and the following 4 the mount Mk 4, widely used before 1943.All the mounts, carriages, shields and guns were quite interchangeable; the sights all mounted the same way, but they would have been aimed and adjusted differently. So, any ship would have had any given combination of mounts, guns and sights; photographic evidence indicates that generally all the combinations would have matched in a given vessel; the alternative would have been chaotic.Not shown (or modeled yet) is the hydroelectrically controlled sight Mk 14, but this was not generally in use with single 20's. Also not shown (or finished) are the twin mounts, Mk 20 & Mk 24, or the submarine mount Mk 6, because. The British had their own series of mounts, but trying to get reliable documentation about them might take me another lifetime, which I do not have at the moment.I have included 1/16th scale dwg files of the three versions shown, as well as the best IGES rendition I could get out of Solidworks 2010If you download my files, please take 1.75 seconds and push the 'like' button.
